Mavis was the first in this wonderful range of planters
which Lily started years ago, so Mavis will always be special for her.
She is also the smallest planter, although the planting area goes down
to her belly button, so she is still good for some serious planting.
Mavis has sweet slabs of hair, which suit planting
with broad-leafed plants like ferns.
To make her into a small water feature, Mavis can
have a copper pipe fixed into her so that she fills and overflows in
a gentle trickle. This is ideal for small pools and conservatories.
IS MAVIS CAST?
Mavis has threads in the base of each leg for fixing
to a base if she is to go out in the garden. She is cast in bronze resin
and can be finished either with a polished bronze or a verdigris patina.
